Parts Work

An advanced training for brainspotting practitioners, from the work of Dr. David Grand (developer of Brainspotting) & Dr. Onno Van Der Hart (trauma & dissociation expert). Facilitated by Senior International Trainer Marie-Jose Boon, assisted by MENA Lead Trainer Chantale Ishac.

Develop advanced skills to assess and work with trauma and dissociation, both in general, and with Brainspotting (BSP).

This two day, in-person training combines theory, demonstration, experiential practicums, and in-depth debriefing, teaching how to recognise, and skilfully work with parts within the Brainspotting frame.

Learning objectives

• develop the mindset & vision required for brainspotting with parts

• understand the different types of trauma and dissociation;

• learn how dissociation and parts present clinically

• know the do’s and don’ts when working with dissociation and parts

• learn how to recognise parts, what to do, and why;

• learn how to begin, psych-education and framing;

• learn how to conduct a brainspotting session with parts work

• consolidate learning through experiential live demonstration and practicum
